Where is evidence?
Attribution and localisation research motivates observable evidence maps, while faithfulness work requires those maps to be tested rather than merely admired.
Visual Reasoning and Activation Visualisation for Explainable Networks. The name describes the work: making internal neural computation inspectable, testing what matters and expressing the result as evidence people can examine.

Ravens are associated with close observation, memory, adaptability and problem-solving. That makes the raven a fitting identity for an explainability tool: VRAVEN watches the computation, follows evidence through the network, tests suspected mechanisms and remembers the limits of what was observed.
The open beak gives the mark a second meaning. An explanation should not remain hidden inside a model; it should be expressed clearly enough to inspect, question and challenge. The red wordmark is the signature. The bird itself remains natural and composed, keeping the identity focused on intelligence rather than spectacle.
VRAVEN was not born from one paper or one research tradition. It emerged by reading across modern neural-network explanation research from 2010 to the present—fields whose methods are powerful but often difficult to connect and apply together.
Attribution and localisation research motivates observable evidence maps, while faithfulness work requires those maps to be tested rather than merely admired.
Intervention and causal-abstraction research motivates controlled internal changes, explicit assumptions and bounded causal claims.
Mechanistic interpretability and programme-extraction research motivates circuits, executable approximations and measured fidelity.
VRAVEN connects capture, explanation, intervention, comparison and reporting while keeping observational, interventional and formal evidence distinct.
VRAVEN brings together more than fifteen years of research foundations; it does not claim those years as its own development history. The cited authors and communities created the underlying ideas, methods and critical tests. VRAVEN's role is to study that work, translate compatible innovations into software and make the resulting evidence easier to run, inspect and communicate. Citation is therefore part of the product's identity, not an afterthought.
